From concerts to campaign videos, JP Beaty produces it all.         An award-winning, industry veteran, JP has more than 30 years of video and special events production experience.  After leaving television to establish Kelsher Communications in 1986, JP quickly made a name for his burgeoning production company by expanding the use of computer teleprompting in both video and public speaking programs.

JP has extensive experience in nearly every aspect of video and event production- from script writing, to casting, to talent booking, to lighting, to directing, to editing and beyond.  His work has taken him around the U.S. and abroad where he has provided an array of production services for many corporations and bold-faced names, including Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, Ambassador Andrew Young, Minister Louis Farrakhan, Dr. Maya Angelou, Mrs. Coretta Scott King, Boxing Champ Evander Holyfield and many others.  When not on set, JP can often be found backstage producing and directing award shows and benefit concerts.

JP is a graduate of Winston Salem State University and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  He leads by the mantra, “Start…and doors of opportunity will open that you never imagined.”  With the support of Kelsher’s top-notch production team, JP has proudly been opening the doors of opportunity for storytellers and world changers for more than 25 years.


Kelly Smith Beaty

Principal / Chief Strategy Officer
A lauded communications and media strategist, Kelly joined her family business in 2014. She brings to Kelsher more than a decade of experience managing public information, branding, crisis and issues management, and thought leadership campaigns.

Kelly began her foray into public information and communications with the U.S. State Department/Foreign Service Institute in Washington D.C. and the Communications Office of the Governor of Georgia. Today her résumé lists industry-leading PR consultancies, through which she has represented a multitude of marquee brands including Starbucks, the World Health Organization, Novartis, General Electric, the National Urban League, NAACP Legal Defense Fund, City of Atlanta, Georgia Ports Authority, US Ambassador Andrew Young, the Leon Sullivan Foundation, and others.

A seasoned professional, Kelly has managed PR campaigns in New York, Georgia, Washington, D.C., Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Ukraine. Most recently, Kelly served as Vice President of Marketing & Communications for Dress for Success Worldwide, where she oversaw brand strategy for the international organization which serves disadvantaged women in more than 130 cities and 15 countries.

A former contestant on NBC’s The Apprentice and the Founder and President of The Girl Power Agency, Kelly is a noted speaker and media personality.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Spelman College and her M.A. in Public Communication from American University in Washington, DC.

Her work is rooted in the belief that communication creates change.
